1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster replica-titled as a 1971 Ford, & built in the mid 1980's. 400 Ford V8, C-6 automatic, PB, PS, golf bag door, cd player, canvas top, side curtains, 2 tone maroon & Salmon/Coral paint, wide whites,etc.

we havent had any Auburn Boattail Speedsters for many years. We don't know which company made this one, but the title shows 1971 Ford-or 41 years old, so no emissions to worry about, & eligible for antique tags in many states. has just over $25,000. since built around 1985 or so. 27 years ago. powered by a peppy 400 Ford V8, with a C-6 automatic transmission, Power Brakes & Steering, & built on a full size Ford LTD chassis, has an am/fm stereo with CD player, wide white gangster tires, golf bag door, side wind deflectors, cowl lamps, side supercharger pipes, suicide doors, over 17 feet long & very wide, has a cream canvas top with plug in side curtains, & a rare burgundy maroon paint job, with salmon coral sides. paint is weak after 27 years, but still wins trophies at shows, as a driver quality. always a crowd around this car, no matter where you go. and to have a new 2012 Auburn built now, will be around $135,000 & up, & originals are way up there & hard to drive. all parts are Ford running gear, so maintenance is a breeze & with a fiberglass body, it will never rust ever. has twin amber fog lamps & sual clear spotlights, burgundy interior, 2 piece front hood, & 2 piece windshield, canvas top has a glass rear window with a chrome ring around. top is showing its age, but is still acceptable. aluminum firewall, & more. the 400M engine & the tranny, with new pistons, rings, cam lifters, heads rebuilt with new valve springs, etc., new bearings, cam & crank, new chrome oil pan & new chrome air box, distributor upgraded to an electonic Pertronix system, including the coil, same with the coil springs, & shocks, & new brake pads, calipers, shoes & wheel cylinders. has a very pricey custom fitted car cover & also a battery quick disconnect switch.   Return to Bob's Classics, Inc. or What's In Stock.
